JAYNE'S BEARS
by

"I
live at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds with my husband Andrew and two
children James (6) and Jessica (4). We have two cats, a puppy, goldfish and way
too many hamsters to count.
My love of teddy bears started as a child and have only simply changed in that
now I buy far more expensive ones.
The first bear I made was about 12 years ago when my husband completed
his training for being a solicitor and he still has it
to this day. I enjoyed making the bear so much that I went out and bought more
and more bear making supplies and have continued to make bears on and off since
that date.
My bear making really took off following the birth of my
daughter, Jessica. Prior to that I
used bought patterns but now I design all of the
patterns myself and try to make each bear as individual as possible. I only
make editions of one as I think it is more personal to have a "one-off" bear.
I only make on average 25 to 30 bears a year. The reason I make bears is simply
to make people smile".
