Lotta grew up in Sweden but she has been in Australia since 1987 where she lives with husband Wayne, their 3 children and Elsy, the "Rotty-Collie" dog, in a big house right next to the Pacific Ocean.

Always having had a creative mind, Lotta discovered sewing in her later teens and was on her way to becoming a clothing designer when she met her husband and her career went on hold.

After starting out making cloth dolls and selling them at a local market, Lotta decided to make a bear for her daughter and from then on, she was hooked. 

Each bear starts off with an idea in Lotta's mind but it is not until he or she is sitting there in front of her, finished, that she truly know its nature. She have realised that small editions are necessary sometimes and she even makes a couple of open editions but her preference is for one -of-a-kind bears.
