Rupert Bear EAN653599 - 28cm/11.2" high, limited edition of 1,973 pieces exclusive to the UK and Ireland in brown alpaca. From the 1930's onwards Rupert was traditionally illustrated with a brown face on the cover of his famous annuals. However, this tradition was broken in 1973 when the brown face illustration was amended by the publisher to a white faced bear. A tiny number of the 1973 annual was printed with a brown faced bear before the amendment and this edition has gone on to be highly sought after by Rupert collectors.
